The Perfect Dog Picture

So the worst part of this trip is having to leave my loving little chihuahua home. Ginger is about 20 mos old, tiny, warm and very well behaved. I've had her since last October, and the longest we've been apart is 5 days, and that only once. I have a terrific house and dogsitter, Carla, coming to stay while I'm gone, but I need something to take with me to feel like Ginger is along for the ride. So I spent this afternoon trying to take the perfect dog picture to frame and put in my cabin. First I got a lot with closed eyes or blurring:

Several in which she looked frightened ( which may have been because I keep shouting: stay! stay! at her):

Finally a few which I think capture her adorableness:

I'll have to choose just one.... or maybe two.

Meanwhile, laundry is being done, toiletries decanted into 3-oz, TSA friendly bottles, electronic chargers and extra batteries collected, and yarn being wound into balls. I have 3 free days between now and departure. A frenzy of organizing and lists. Stay out of my way.
